I recommend checking out the most recent episode of Nova on PBS (in the
USA). They cover the historic 1909 flight of a French pilot crossing the
English Channel. Quite interesting show (as always). Maybe your local
station will carry it later this week if they haven't already played it.

Anyway, I was inspired to try my own FS2004 crossing. I took the Curtiss
Jenny (this is the closest aircraft, technologically, in FS to the 1909
Blériot XI used in the real flight). It was a pleasant trip from
Calais-Dunkirque (LFAC) to whatever the closest English airport is (I forget
the name); even got to buzz a cruise ship. (Though I didn't notice any
chalk cliffs of Dover).

Cool, I'll have to try it. Even though I think that FS2002 planes won't
work well in FS2004 (?), at least I can look at it.
