Author Squawkbox 3 crashes FS9

Hi all:

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. I want to
use the Vatsim network to fly with a VA. I can park my aircraft in a
parking area and MSFS will run all day with it sitting there but if I
just start Squawk box MSFS encounters a problem and has to quit (you
know the box) it takes about ten to fifteen minutes of being connected
to Vatsim for this to happen. Has anyone else experienced this or
have some idea of how it can be corrected.
P4 3.0 MHZ
1 gig memory
9200 SE video card

Don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I would suggest that you
make sure you have installed the FS9 -> 9.1 Patch from MS.

What OS are you using? I would make sure that you're computer is up-to-date
with patches.

Have you tried reinstalling Squawkbox?

2 things.

First are you using FSUIPC its a must for SB3. Don't have to pay or
register.

Second, have you followed all the instructions and gotten the newest
version. I believe there is either a newer version or a new patch.

Try downloading the latest version, look at the forums like T suggested then
go to Vatsim in the Pilots Recource Center and look at all the instructions
etc.

You'll find it.

Hi Mike:

I'm using XP home ed. with all patches. Fsuipc 3.5.0 and I have
re-installed Squawkbox with still the same results...connection for 5
to 10 minutes then the Microsoft notice that Flight Simulator must
shut down. The cursor disappears for minutes at a time after pushing
the connect button. I didn't see anything on the Squawkbox Forum that
looked like this.
