| Any ideas on this one...On downwind leg of 470 mile IFR trip across Germany
in my Mooney. As I was scanning in VC mode, everything quit responding
followed by a screen telling me MS was sorry but they would have to shut
down FS. Frustrating after a really nice flight!

| Unfortuantely, when that happens the whole program shuts down. I had a
similar problem last week. Doesn't necessarily mean you did anything
directly to cause the problem, but something within the fs2004 environment
has a bug.
Do you always scan in VC? If so and if this is the first time you're having
this problem, try uninstalling any recently installed software related to
FS2004.
If you're a proficient programmer, you can try to solve the problem
yourself.

Here are a couple possibilities.. not definite. It could have been a
bad scenery object or texture. Any new addon scenery? Did you
neglect any ATC exchanges while in the terminal area? Any sign
of ATC irregularity?

| No new addons but the ATC thing might be the cause. I do tend to ignore
them sometimes.
