I picked up a second hand CH Virtual Pilot Pro yoke for a few pounds at
a UK car boot sale. I sought installation advice on one of the forums
and this is what I got:

"For game port controlers you would have to install and activate the
game port in "Add / Remove Hardware" first. Many late model computers
don't come with game ports, which normally are part of an add on sound
card.

Then use the Control Panel's "Game Controllers" applet to add a
"6-button flight yoke w/two POVs and throttle". There is NO requirement
for software downloads from C/H Products. The yoke itself does NOT
require any of Windows XP's earlier OS compatability modes."

I haven't got round to installing it yet - new computer coming soon - so
I don't know if it works. Let me know what happens!
