This is John's issue not mine. But I'm sure he appreciates the advice. However this doesn't sound like an AV problem
at this point. It does sound like a spybot or virus or firewall problem.

Have you run Ad-Aware and Spybot? Have you checked Norton's logfiles? XP SP2?
