FS2004 doesn't see Matrox Parhelia

| "The drivers currently installed for your video card may cause your
computer to stop responding when Flight Simulator is running.
Matrox Parhelia 128MB - English.0
Click Yes to search for newer drivers, or No to continue in software
mode. Some graphical features may not appear in software mode.
Yes No "
I had this card working with FS2004 last time I installed it a year
and half ago but I recently reformatted and installed everything again
and now I am getting the above message. Other programs appear to
recognize the parhelia (although I really can't say for sure) so I
believe the driver is installed.
Windows XP Device Manager says that the Parhelia is installed as the
Display Adapter..
Also when I say No and go into FS2004 selecting Software 3d mode and
go to Settings > Display > Hardware I don't see any way to select any
hardware. The Device Name box is empty.
I went to the Matrox site and don't see any special drivers for FS
2004.
Any ideas?
Thanks

| I would check the following:
Make sure you have the latest Motherboard drivers (4 in 1's or equivelant)
What version of the Parhelia drivers are you running?
Does your Motherboard have onboard video? What is it set to? Can it be
disabled?
You may need to change the boot priority of your AGP (set to Both or PCI for
Primary display)
Start with these things and post back. Obviously, you know it should work.
I'm running a Parhelia very nicely in FS9
Others may post with some additional suggestions.

| Thanks for the help.
I didn't have to go that direction. I noticed that clicking on the
Matrox Powerdesk in the tool tray was doing anything so I reinstalled
the latest Matrox Parhelia driver and that seems to have fixed it. I
now am seeing what I expect in MS2004.
Yeah.
