747 left and right side sceneries
|
|
|
| When we select a left or right view on the 747 we see the side windows frame
and the outside sceneries, can we have juste the outside scenneries ?
Is it possible to remove the side windows frame ? or how to activate a side
scenery ?

You have to stick your face right up against the window.

| If you press "W" a couple of times to remove the panel that should do it.

| Thank you Geoff !
It works, can I use the left side scenery simultaniously on a second monitor
?
In other words, can I use the foward scenery on my #1 monitor and put the
left scenery on my #2 monitor ?

lol.
I don't know if you meant it the way I read it, but I was about to
reply to having a second monitor open.
If you have a second view active and it is of the "outside world"
then the FPS are going to drop somewhat - unless you have a good GFX
card.
I'm not saying you don't but as you haven't said what kind it
is....... ;-)
Anyway, I hope you do like the new setup.
Happy flying.

| FWIW, if you are using the default aircraft, the B-777 is very much like the
B-747 and has a beautiful, unobstructed view through the cockpit windows.

Hi jean,
When you are sitting there looking out the windshield, press the [ key
That will pop a second window up.
Undock that window, drag it to the 2nd monitor, and set whatever view
you want their.
If you set the 2nd monitor to show the 3D view, you can pan the view to
show the left or right views.
If you use the 2D views, use the keypad,
press the #4 Key (left side view), on the keypad
press and hold the shift key,
release the #4 key
release the shift key.
the view you selected should stay.
BTW, pressing the #7 key will show the left forward view. You get the idea.
As has already been said, using the second monitor for a view can
decrease your frame rate drastically. I have some helicopters that
bring the frame rate down to a slide show, but in other aircraft at the
same location, seems very smooth.
Trial and error

HI,
If you mean remove the window frame to see more, I can't help. Someone
here can probably help on that.
