Hello,
I'm looking to buy a new Laptop. This is easyer to take the hardware with me
to go to the Sim meetings.
What is the min.configuration that I need to run FS2004 on a laptop (and for
a PC.)
Can someone tell me if there is a diff.to run FS2004 on P4 / P4 centrino /
or AMD xp /xp64.
Will this also work to run FS2006?
thank you much.
regards dirk

You'll have to ask the "FS2006" development team, Dirk. (Assuming there
is one. I'm not privy to what development's going on at MS)

Greetings Dirk,

I am running FS2004 on a Gateway 7405 laptop as a second machine. I find
the performance to be well beyond "acceptable" In a default C172 at KSEA
with most sliders on high (I know, gross generalization) I am averaging
around 40 fps.

I currently have an Athlon64 3200+ laptop with 512 mb of PC2700 ram and plan
to up that to 1 gig. My laptop uses a Radeon 9600 64mb video card. I would
recommend a minimum of 64 meg (discreet video ram, not shared ram) and at
least 512 mb of system ram. If you can find one with a 5400 or 7200 rpm
hard drive all the better, but you can always upgrade that later.

Paul
